Are payments secured?
All banking data associated with your transactions are encrypted and secured via an authorized trust chain and certified by the regulatory authorities. The payment solution used is that of LEMONWAY payment institution. Neither the manager of the platform or the project leader will have access to your payment account. Your accounts are managed exclusively by the payment institution, in a bank. This is an extremely important safety point. Virtually, this means that the cash flows are under the full responsibility of a bank.
How are cash flows carried out?
The entire transaction is made securely. Once the contribution is selected and validated, the contributor is requested for data necessary for payment via a secure form. Once the payment is confirmed, the corresponding amount is credited to the contributor's payment account. Depending on the type of campaign you have launched, the flow will not operate in the same way:
Donation campaigns
- Case 1: as part of a campaign "all or nothing" or "with threshold", when the payment transaction by credit card or bank transfer is completed, the funds collected are confined to the payment account of the donor. Thus the donor, even if they see the amount debited from their bank account, continues to hold the electronic money as money housed within their payment account until the campaign is declared successful (reaching the initial target or threshold as appropriate). Only then are the funds transferred to your payment account. This means that contributors may cancel their contributions at any time since their payment account is legally their property. If the campaign is a failure, contributors get their contributions back.
- Case 2: as part of a campaign in which collected funds are transferred regardless of the project’s final success, funds are immediately transferred on your payment account. Thus contributors cannot cancel their gifts.
Lending campaigns When the payment transaction by credit card or bank transfer is completed, collected funds are confined to the payment account of the lender. Thus the lender, even if it sees the amount debited from his bank account, continues to hold the electronic money as money housed within its payment account until the campaign is declared successful (reaching the initial target or threshold as appropriate). Only then are the funds transferred to your payment account. There is no possible cancellation of the loan offer made by the lender during a campaign.
The balance of your payment account is available at any time.
Can I use the email address of contributors for purposes other than my project?
You have the ability to use e- mails contributors as part of your project. This faculty is expressly stated in the Terms of Use. You also have the option of requesting that you and your partners may use the mails of your contributors for purposes other than for the project (invitations, call for other projects etc.), the platform being considered as one of your partners. For this purpose, it has been expressly asked to the contributor: "Do you allow the project owner and/or their partners to use your email address for any other purpose than the project to which you are contributing (invitations, calls to other projects etc.)?"
Can one contribute to a project anonymously?
It is enough that the contributor has given a nickname to register. However you will detain all the contact information. Please note it may be that the contributor has decided not to make their contribution to the project public. They will have to check that option before payment transaction.
Am I subject to notification in order to use the email addresses of my contributors? (cnil statement)
You must file a CNIL statement. Go to the following address: http://www.cnil.fr/ The requested information may include: - Email - Name or username - First name - Birthday - Nationality - Mail address - Self-description - Picture of yourself
Can a contributor withdraw their funds allocated to my project before the end of the campaign?
As long as an “all or nothing” campaign is not ended, a contributor always has the ability to withdraw the funds in their payment account. The reason is simple: the payment account is their property. They may dispose of it at will. To withdraw funds, they will have to go in their personal space and click "Cancel" in front of their contribution.
How to include images or videos in the description of my project?
- Images: simply copy the URL of the image that you have previously loaded into an image library of your choice. We recommend cloudinary.com but the important thing is to have chosen a web host that allows taking charge of secure URLs. We also recommend the use of the .jpg 220x172 dimensions to yield the optimum result. You can upload your images in your space under "project management" in "Media ".
- Videos: it is the same for videos, simply copy the URL of the video you have previously uploaded to Youtube, Vimeo, or Daily Motion. We recommend using Vimeo, which allows not seeing displayed ads.
CSS experts are able to perform more advanced layouts. Generally we do not give the possibility, due to risks related to security, directly enter HTML or JavaScript code. Customizing layouts must be performed using the syntax of the language markdown. (Click on markdown to access an explanation site).
I just changed my project’s image but it does not appear correctly in Facebook. What should I do?
Sometimes there is a problem displaying the shared link if you just changed the video or image. Indeed, Facebook does not automatically refreshes the data once copied. So if a project has once been shared, before having attributed an image to it, this project will appear in Facebook without image.
The solution is therefore to refresh the Facebook data as follows:
1 - go under the Facebook debugger (search for Facebook debugger with Google)
2 - type in the "Input URL , Access Token , or Open Graph Action ID" field the URL for the project to be shared on Facebook
3 - Click the "debug" button that displays the information seen by Facebook on the project; this operation causes the refresh of the project data on Facebook which will then appear correctly on the walls shared with this project.

- Change the objectives of the campaign: duration, amount,
- Stop the campaign, if financial targets are met by the end of it,
- Change my project’s category: leisure, support, business, etc.,
