The first album of Claire & Luke Winton :
A christian and universal musical project, for everyone !
Acoustic guitars along with shimmering mandolins, our album will be for a good part folk and country. Pop and electro have their place too in this colored opus. Some of our songs will touch deep subjects. Sharing our path of life and what God gave to us in our struggles and joys, this album is for us a way to put a little stone to build a better future.
Haven’t we been touched by some music which gave us again hope in situation without end ?
music is a refuge, a spiritual and artistic pause where I can give myself and completely be myself. It is a place where my personality has asserted itself. After my first year of studies, very intense and arid spiritually, I joined a prayer group in Marseille. Little by little, I support this joyful group where my voice will assert itself. One day, in the crypt of this chruch, feeling a great joy by singing, I consecrated my voice to God for He can do it « his artwork and property. »

One day, in the crypt of this chruch, feeling a great joy by singing, I consecrated my voice to God for He can do it « his artwork and property. » In 2009, I begin to live in Paris to finish my studies and discover the adoration group ABBA, in the historical center of the capital. Years of happiness, friendship and simplicity. This group has deepened my relation to Jesus and made me discover the joy to melt within a choir which prays. Then, I had the chance to support the liturgy for the International Marial festival during 3 years and with Anuncio, an evangelization festival all around France. Then, I met Luke, opening a new chapter of my life

I was kneaded from the folk rock culture of the 60s and 80s by my father, amateur guitarist. He transmitted to me this strong music fiber. Following his example, I started playing the classical guitar at 8 years old. Great fan of Dire Straits, I am having fun trying to find the chords of the pieces and replay the solos. My family encounters great difficulties between my 13 years and my 20 years.
For my part, I am subject at 17 years old of crises of terrible anguish which lead to a phobia of great spaces. It is in this episode that I cry to Jesus and feel somewhat set apart.
The guitar becomes a refuge and I play a lot. I also start composing music and songs. Yet life goes on and I set up my first groups around the Loire valley. My decisive encounter with Jesus will take place in London in an accommodation of Mother Teresa, by the poor whom I feel close to. But most importantly, I understand that He has even been dying on the cross for me. He, who is God, has chosen to live human suffering and death. He knows my suffering. It is a liberation, for me that felt so alone, and the gift of his resurrection opens my future that I had seen so dark, at this time. Following this experience, my life takes a strong turn and I leave a year to evangelize and study.
This year will give me the healing of my voice. In Le Mans, then in Paris, I had many heteroclite collaborations from lyrical music, funk, through a group of covers on the barges on the seine, as guitarist and singer. I also had the chance to sing in several CDs of the Emmanuel community, in the years 2000. For me, music is universal. It is beauty and can touch deeply. It can reach suffering, doubt, emptiness, bring joy, exuberance, love.

His music takes you away and make the auditor traveling in an cool and celestial atmosphere. In parallel, he has a special gift for languages and imitations, loving culture and english conversations. He has the gift to capture the accurate intonation of somebody and make fun with it. »
Our encounter took place around music as we were collaborated to set up a musical and poetic show, Levhana. Our first rendez-vous, on the banks of the Seine river, were moment of musical creation. One of the song has been composed during these rendez-vous. We got married in 2014 and had the joy to welcome our first child, Marie-Ève. After moving to French Britany, the desire to record an album came. We selected 12 songs partly universal and partly spiritual. We hope, with your help and God, that it will be successful.
Describe your project goal
The funds collected will allow us to realize in large part the production and the release of the album. To realize it, we need about 7,000 euros.
This money will be used for the following implementation priorities:
- Production of the studio album and arrangement: € 3,000
- Mastering: € 850
- Promotion fee: € 500
- Payment of musicians: € 2,000
- Video clip: 650 €
