« Saint John Vianney remains for all countries an unequalled model both for the carrying out of the ministry and the holiness of the Minister » Saint John Paul II said in Ars on October 6th, 1986.
To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the arrival in Ars of St John Vianney, patron of all the priests in the world,the Shrine of Ars organizes a retreat for all the priests in the world from 24th to 29th September 2018.
This retreat will be preached by Enzo Bianchi Monk who founded the Bose community in 1965. He works for the unity of the Christians. In particular he is an adviser at the Papal Council for Christian’s unity. He writes a lot and contributes to numerous publications. Friend of Pope François, he attends regularly to priests’ retreats and will preach on the theme « the fire of the Gospel ».
«Explaining the Gospel is the best way to arouse the fire of our Lord’s love in faithful’s hearts. In this Book our Lord appears […] to be the consoler and the friend of man, only telling him about love and committing him to devote himself entirely to Lord ».
It will contribute to help the Shrine of Ars to organize this world retreat aiming at welcoming more than 1200 priests from the whole world.
This appeal to donations allows not to pass on the registration fare the considerable expenses for the organization mainly due to its location as a village in the countryside, it will also help to give to priests from everywhere the best greeting during this retreat.
By supporting the organization of the world retreat you will allow hundreds of priests from all countries to live a priestly brotherhood, to know a spiritual revival, to get back to their mission.
